Picking your own berries is something that a lot of our customers really enjoy and it can be a great experience for kids too!  For many families, it becomes a yearly tradition to look forward to.  We invite you to continue the tradition or start a new tradition with your family and friends of enjoying fruit fresh from the field.  We are happy to offer U-Pick at our farm for strawberries, red raspberries, and blueberries!  Check below for more information on u-pick availability.

Our strawberry season usually runs from June 10th through July 1st, but it does vary from year to year.

When you come to our farm, please visit our store first to receive berry picking supplies and directions to the field.

How to pick strawberries:

When you come to our farm, we will give you a strawberry flat (that’s a shallow waxed cardboard box) and a wire carrier, with a flag holder, to carry the flat. We will tell you which field to go to.  When you get in the field, go to a flag in a row and start picking from that point.  Take the flag and put it in the loops on the handle of your carrier. When you are done picking, leave the flag where you quit picking berries so the next person will know where to resume picking. Please don’t jump from row to row when picking.  We would appreciate it if you would stay in your own row when picking.  This way we know the whole field gets picked and that there will be berries in other rows for other pickers.

Pick ripe berries. Look a strawberry over before picking it. If the tip is still white, it is not as sweet and ripe as it can be.  To pick them, hold the strawberry lightly in your hand, grasp the stem just above the berry and pull with a slight twist.

Look carefully under the leaves and along both edges of your row; strawberries like to hide. Please pick thoroughly, getting all the berries that are ready. It greatly helps us and the next person who picks your row later if you remove berries that have bad spots and place them in the aisle behind you. Some people even pull some weeds out for us — but that’s not required!

Please walk in the aisles and paths. When we step across rows of strawberries, we sometimes damage the plants.

When you are done picking, bring your berries back to our store and we will weigh them for you.  Strawberries are sold by weight.  You may take the strawberries home in the flats we give you.

Visitors can shop the farm market, bakery, and greenhouse. Families will enjoy the Lil’ Bumpkin Play Village & Petting Farm with themed buildings, pedal tractors and karts, ziplines, duck races, and friendly donkeys, alpacas, goats, and chickens. September and October bring a variety of pumpkins, squash, and lots of fall fun. Field trips run spring, summer, and fall, making this a top destination for family fun and Wisconsin agritourism.

Season runs from late April 25 through October 31.Day Pass Pricing $12 is per person and applies to both children and adults. Animal feed available to purchase for an additional fee.

John and Sandy Buchholz both grew up on dairy farms in Wisconsin. Wanting to share these experiences with their children and grandchildren in 2017 they planted a small orchard as a hobby.

Seeing how much their children and their families enjoyed gathering together and helping on the farm, John and Sandy began looking to expand their orchard.

They fell in love with the beauty and tranquility lavender had to offer and set out to learn as much as they could about how to start their own.

In 2020, they expanded the vision of the family orchard and started planting lavender the summer of 2021. It has been exciting to watch the plants and the family grow. 

In 2026 they are projecting to have close to 4000 lavender plants with 20 different varieties and are looking forward to expanding in the coming years.

STRAWBERRIES

Creek Bed Farmacy invites your family to our strawberry patch!   Typically, starting mid-June, we are open to the public to start picking and enjoying our big juicy strawberries. 

Take in the beautiful  views from our hilltop strawberry fields where we have 15.5 acres of delicious berries ready for the pickin’! 

We are also happy to offer pre-picked that morning strawberries for purchase too.Bring the whole family to Creek Bed Farmacy for fresh air, beautiful views, and farmtastic fun!

Depending on the season, you can pick strawberries, sweet corn, or peaches, explore Wisconsin’s Largest Corn Maze, or let the kids play in the "Back 40" Playground.

Enjoy a hayride to the pumpkin patch or grab a Farmacy burger and fresh apple cider donuts at the Eat Shack.Creek Bed Farmacy has been proud to be your local family farm since 1871!

Looking ahead, our 2026 strawberry season will begin sometime in June—we’ll share updates as we get closer. Please call 920-779-4788 or check our Facebook page before heading out for the latest picking info.

A few notes for next year:

• We are one of the few pesticide- and herbicide-free strawberry growers in Wisconsin.

• We’ve been scaling back our strawberry production to better care for the fields. For 2026, we’ve planted just 3 acres of new berries, so picking will be limited and hours may vary.

• We do not have regular picking hours—we post when the fields are ready and picked out quickly.

• We provide free boxes and free tasting!

• We accept cash, check, or card.

• No dogs in the fields, please.
